INFINITI, an award-winning UK-based data centre construction and data centre design and build solutions provider, specialises in offering fast-track installation solutions.
The company was commissioned by the Ministry Of Defence to design and build a Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI)-approved secure room for the protection of servers.
From a range of potential physical security solutions, INFINITI chose Securiclad’s high security modular panel systems for use on this project.
INFINITI needed to create a 50sqm secure room, with a rating to Loss Prevention Standard (LPS) 1175 Security Rating 4, and to retro-fit this to an existing structure.
The contractor was operating under considerable time constraints and needed a system that was easy to install, flexible and could also be used in conjunction with a high security door.
Due to Securiclad’s CPNI-approval – and the fact that it is certified to LPS 1175 SR4 – it met the project’s strict security requirements. The SR4 rating means Securiclad can safeguard data centres against experienced attempts at forced entry with tools including drills (12v DC), disc grinders (12v DC), gas torches, sledgehammers and jig saws (12v DC).
Securiclad’s modular panel system offered additional flexibility, and INFINITI used Securiclad floor, wall and ceiling panels to complete the project.
In addition, as Securiclad is quick to install, it saved valuable construction time on the project, helping INFINITI to deliver to its client’s deadline – with more traditional building methods, this construction time can potentially be much longer.
Prior to the project commencing, INFINITI also received comprehensive training from Securiclad at its North Tyneside site on the installation of Securiclad’s high security modular panel systems.
