New appointment set to drive growth for SecuricladPosted: December 21st, 2017
Securiclad has appointed a new sales engineer to help further expand its national presence.
Simon Johnson has joined our team as a sales engineer, a role that will see him further drive and develop growth opportunities for the business on a national scale.
Simon will be responsible for promoting the full portfolio of our physical security products, as well as generating new business opportunities in key target markets. In addition to his work in sales, he will also work closely with clients to further develop the company’s relationships, co-ordinate quotations and manage key account activities.
Originally from Hebburn, Tyne and Wear, Simon has more than 10 years’ experience across business development and sales, with particular expertise across the manufacturing and engineering sectors. He previously held roles as a business development executive at British Steel, sales executive and buyer at M-Technic Fabrications and business development consultant at Tyne North Training.
Commenting on his appointment, Simon Johnson said: “In today’s challenging security environment – where the threat of terrorism heightens the need for physical protection – the opportunity to work for a company that combat threats to security was particularly appealing to me.
“Securiclad has a fantastic reputation for providing comprehensive and bespoke systems that are at the forefront of physical security solutions. I am thrilled to be joining the team and look forward to utilising my experience in support of the company’s ambitious growth plans.”
Mike McColl, managing director of Securiclad, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Simon to the team. His combination of sales expertise and technical product knowledge will be invaluable in helping us to manage our growth while continuing to provide high quality products and offering an exceptional level of customer care.
“2017 has been a year of continued growth for Securiclad as we have further expanded our service offering and invested in our team – I am confident that 2018 will see us to continue to do the same.”
Simon’s appointment comes at a time of growth for Securiclad as this year we launched Ballisticlad, an enhanced ballistic protection system. In addition, we also developed an enhanced modular construction system now certified up to Loss Prevention Standard (LPS) 1175 Security Rating (SR) 5, designed to withstand attempts at forced entry using high powered tools.
In line with this growth Securiclad also recently appointed a new draughtsman and CAD engineer.< back
