In the water industry, there is increasing demand for physical security measures to protect operational equipment from sabotage, tampering, vandalism or theft.
Securiclad was commissioned by a major independent infrastructure provider, which works across the UK and Europe, to provide its high security composite panels and ancillary items for use on water company sites.
The security enclosures, using the Securiclad panel system, were designed to be bespoke to the client requirements and were assembled off-site.
Securiclad’s high security systems have been used in a range of projects, from small 1 sqm water sampling booths to 4.5 sqm portable cabins.
The client required a system that was flexible and easily adaptable for use across a variety of sites. By offering a bespoke modular high security panel solution, Securiclad was able to provide this.
In addition, the extent of security threats to each site, plus the value and sensitivity of the equipment or material requiring protection, varied from project to project. Securiclad was able to provide panels across a range of security ratings – Loss Prevention Standard (LPS) 1175 Security Ratings 2, 3 and 4. The highest rated system is built to resist determined attack from implements including sledgehammers, disc grinders, jig saws and felling axes.
As many of the installations had external facades, or were sited externally, the panels needed to be weather resistant, and insulated to protect sensitive equipment. Securiclad provided panels with both a weather-proof finish and a PIR core, providing excellent insulation properties.
